Bilby reports that “work for these and other new clients has started positively and in some instances, progress is ahead of schedule”.

§ Bilby reports the addition of new clients since the beginning of 2018 including Wandsworth Council and the University of Essex, with a recent significant tender won to provide gas heating upgrade services for a leading housing association. A number of long-standing customers, including Hyde Housing, have also recently invited Bilby to broaden scope of works, reflecting the range of services offered across the four Group companies and the efficiency of service arising from its London and South East target area concentration.

Bilby has issued a strong, positive, Trading Update, continuing the momentum reported at the Interim. The Company’s strong regional presence in the London area and South East has contributed to service quality and added to demand for its offering. We have placed estimates and target price under review.

Half Year Results Demonstrate Significant Progress

NORTHLAND VIEW

§ The preclinical healthcare company focused on skin health, announced its half year results for the six months to 31 December 2017. Having raised gross proceeds of £4.5m through its IPO in April 2017, the Company ended the six month period in a strong position with £3.6m of cash. R&D expenditure for the period was £125k and combined with other operating expenses of £261k, resulting in a loss from operations of £386k and a total comprehensive loss for the period of £343k. A basic and diluted loss of 0.29p per share was reported.

§ During the period, management priority had centered on expansion of its manufacture and scale-up capability, while also testing initial formulations. The Company’s focus is on three sectors; cosmetics, infection control and eczema, with proof-of-principle studies indicating SkinBiotix® can improve the barrier effect of skin, protect from infection and aid skin repair based on the beneficial activity of lysates derived from probiotic bacteria. Progress made across all areas ensures it remains on track to start its first human study for the cosmetic application in Q3 2018. The Board confirms that this development has already generated early, initial interest from potential commercial partners. Progress in Anti-infection and eczema programmes - application frequency/safe dosing levels determined.

The skin microbiome is becoming an increasingly important field of scientific research. SkinBioTherapeutics has observed that the cosmetic industry is transitioning to products and applications with scientific validation. Having this at its core, the key focus to date has centered on preparation for the initial human studies, which should lead to further commercial negotiations in partnering and licensing opportunities.

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

SkinBio Therapeutics is a preclinical healthcare company focusing on skin health.

Positive Eight-Year Results of ChondroMimetic®

NORTHLAND VIEW

§ Collagen Solutions announced successful results from an eight-year extension clinical study of 15 patients who received the Group’s ChondroMimetic® implants as an osteochondral scaffold for the repair of cartilage defects in the knee.

§ The positive results have allowed Collagen Solutions to submit an initial submission for CE Mark.

§ Key highlights included:

§ Quantitative 3D MRI analysis in the long-term study concluded that cartilage regeneration in the treated defects had reached a level and structural quality nearly identical to native cartilage.

§ Improvement in patient clinical symptoms, including pain, function and activity level after treatment sustained over the eight-year period.

§ The 'Knee Injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score' (KOOS), a well-known and validated patient reported outcome measure, showed outcomes following the ChondroMimetic® procedure were equal to or better than KOOS scores reported in the literature for substantially more expensive two-stage cartilage repair technologies.

Commenting on these results, Dr. László Hangody, orthopedic surgeon and the Principal Investigator for the study said: "Based on our first-hand clinical experience with ChondroMimetic® and these new results confirming the sustainability of both cartilage regeneration and the improvement in patient outcomes, it is my firm belief that this scaffold has an important place in the treatment of focal chondral lesions."

Commercial and technical partnership with Proses

NORTHLAND VIEW

§ Alexander Mining has signed a partnership agreement with Proses Mühendislik, Danışmanlık, İnşaat ve Tasarım AS ("Proses"). Proses is a mineral processing consultancy based in Turkey.

§ Subject to securing the required funding, Proses plans to design and build a semi industrial scale processing plant (100,000tpa-300,000tpa) in Turkey or Iran, using Alexander Mining’s MetaLeach technology. Proses also plans to investigate a potential plant at the world class Mehdiabad Zinc-Lead-Silver Project, located in Iran.

Alexander Mining has struggled for some time to see its leaching technology commercialised and used at a scale required to give the industry the confidence necessary to roll it out on a larger scale. Should partner Proses, be able to finance, design and build a MetaLeach plant, even at a semi industrial scale, it would be a major milestone for Alexander Mining that could lead to a wider commercial roll out. Proses will have to complete a large volume of work before it gets to that stage, therefore Proses ability to secure the required funding to commence this work will be critical in the near-term. Should Proses be able to secure the use the MetaLeach technology on the 154mt (proven reserve) Mehdiabad Zinc-Lead-Silver Deposit it would, in our view, be even more commercially significant, demonstrating the technology works and that it can be incorporated into a major commercial mining operation.

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Alexander Mining is a mineral processing technology business, seeking to commercialise its leaching technologies.
