CE Mark approvals

NORTHLAND VIEW

 Venture Life announced that two of its new medical device products, Myco-Clear and Rosacalma, have received CE Mark regulatory approval, enabling both products to be marketed and sold as medical devices within the EU.

 Myco-Clear is a topical product for the treatment of Onychomicosis (a fungal nail infection). The product treats the condition and rapidly improves the appearance of the nail through an easily applied and absorbed once daily topical treatment.

 Rosacalma is a complete treatment portfolio for managing the symptoms of Rosacea, an inflammatory skin disease causing facial redness. Rosacea affects 10% of the general population between 30-50 years of age.

 These products were developed in-house and are now ready to be marketed and sold. They will now be presented to potential international distribution partners during 2017, ready for launch in 2018.

The CE Mark approvals for Myco-Clear and Rosacalma represent a significant milestone for Venture Life, as these products were entirely developed in house. The approvals highlight the Group’s ability to invent and develop new products that target areas of major unmet need.

Update on CE Mark

NORTHLAND VIEW

 Feedback had previously expected to obtain the CE mark for its flagship TexRAD Lung product by a target date of the end of May 2017.

 In the course of development and review in compliance with ISO 13485:2016, enhancements have been identified which will improve the performance of its version of TexRAD and which will assist in the progression of future versions to wider clinical usage.

 As such, today the Group announced that the introduction of these modifications will result in a delay of several weeks before the CE Mark for TexRAD Lung is obtained.

 The CE mark will allow the sale of TexRAD Lung in the EU and certain other markets as a medical device that provides analysis of PET/CT images of lung cancer for clinical use.

We view today’s announcement as a minor delay. The Group indicated that the delay is not expected to have any effect on the commercial negotiations which are underway or on future sales.

Clontarf Energy (LON:CLON)

SECTOR – OIL & GAS

RATING – CORP*

MARKET CAP – £1.9m

CURRENT PRICE – 0.3p#

COMPANY DESCRIPTION

Clontarf Energy is an exploration company with projects located in Ghana, Peru and applications for licences in Equatorial Guinea.

FY16 Results: New applications in Equatorial Guinea

NORTHLAND VIEW

 LBT during FY16 remained flat at £0.2m compared to FY15 £0.2m.

 Net debt reduced to £0.3m in FY16 compared to £0.6m in FY15.

 In Ghana, the Company is continuing to resolve certain outstanding issues regarding the proposed licence area.

 In Peru, partners are awaiting the re-issue of the permits and expects to commence a focuses seismic campaign to identify drill sites in either 2018 or 2019.

 In Equatorial Guinea, the Company has applied for Block EG-23 and EG-21. EG-23 is in shallow water and has had a few wells drilled on it and EG-21 also has had a number of unsuccessful wells.

During a difficult time for the sector Clontarf Energy has continued to be run conservatively and is now seeking a move into Equatorial Guinea where the Company believes that modern exploration could generate new targets.
