NORTHLAND CAPITAL PARTNERS VIEW: It is positive to see Mariana Resources complete the acquisition of Awalé Resources that owns the Bondouko Gold Project, located in Côte d'Ivoire. In the Bondouko Est concession high-grade gold mineralisation, of up to 36g/t Au, has been defined from initial surface sampling. The concession also has extensive artisanal mining down to c. 30m on high-grade quartz veins that lie within a northwest-southeast trending mineralised corridor, which is believed to have a strike of 18km.

Savannah Resources (LOV:SAV) – CORP: FY16 results
Market Cap: £26m; Current Price: 5.75p
LBT reduces to £1.8m as activities ramp up
LBT reduced to £1.8m in FY16 down from £3.1m in FY15, largely a result of reduced loss on disposal and reduced impairments.
Net cash totalled £0.7m in FY16 up from £0.2m in FY15.
NORTHLAND CAPITAL PARTNERS VIEW: FY16 was a strong year for Savannah Resources, which saw the business sign a Consortium Agreement with Rio Tinto on the world-class Mutamba heavy mineral sands project, complete a large mineral resource estimate for the project and commence work on the scoping study. Significant progress was also made at the Company’s copper project, located in Oman, where consistent high-grade drill results were returned. The Company also added two early-stage lithium projects, located in Finland. 2017 is likely to be another big year for the Company with the completion of the Mutamba scoping study and the commencement of copper mining in Oman.

Edenville Energy (LOV:EDL) – CORP: Relinquishes uranium license
Market Cap: £7m; Current Price: 0.85p
Reduces license renewal fees by US$32,000
Edenville Energy has relinquished its uranium license – Matiri South (PL6147/2009).
The relinquishment will reduce license fee commitments over the next 12 months by US$32,000.
An impairment charge is expected to be recognised in the 31/12/16 financial results.
NORTHLAND CAPITAL PARTNERS VIEW: The Matiri South area was worked early in the Company’s history and appeared to contain little indication of economic mineralisation and no further work has been carried out.
