Ur-Energy, Inc. (TSE:URE) was maintained as a “Buy” with a price target of C$2.10 by brokers at Rodman & Renshaw on Monday.
Rodman said Ur-Energy’s third quarter production remained steady and also liked the company’s pricing model in the midst of depressed uranium market.
“During the quarter, the firm captured 141,774 pounds of uranium, compared with 133,341 pounds in the prior quarter. We note that sales during the quarter totaled 200,000 pounds at an average contracted sales price of $47.36 per pound for total revenue of approximately $9.5mln,” said Rodman.
“With spot uranium prices remaining low and in fact below $22.00 per pound, we believe Ur-Energy’s higher priced contracts provide investors with significant downside protection in the midst of the uranium price downturn,” the broker added.
Meanwhile, Klondex Mines (TSE:KDX) was reiterated a “buy” by Rodman & Renshaw with a C$5.75 price target.
“Following the positive production decision at the True North Gold Mine in Canada, management continued with its acquisitive stance and purchased the Hollister and Esmeralda mines and mill for total consideration of approximately $90.0 million. In our view, the assets fit Klondex’s modus operandi of purchasing high-grade, yet temporarily underperforming assets and turning them around,” the broker said.
Klondex shares were up 0.9% at C$6.97 on Monday.
