Brokers: Just Eat a tasty investment according to Jefferies

The online food order and delivery service received a boost from the bank, while elsewhere insurance firms were in the spotlight

Online food ordering platform Just Eat PLC (LON:JE.) had its price target almost doubled by Jefferies International to 1000p from 550p, with the investment bank repeating its ‘buy’ recommendation for the company.

Elsewhere, insurers were in the spotlight on Tuesday with brokers generally positive on the futures of some of the industry’s heavyweights.

Motor insurance firm Admiral Group PLC (LON:ADM) had its ‘hold’ recommendation maintained by Peel Hunt, with the broker raising its price target for the stock to 1980p from 1620p.

Berenberg was also bullish about the prospects of another insurance company as it raised its price target for Hastings Group Holdings Ltd (LON:HSTG) to 234p from 210p, while also reiterating its ‘buy’ recommendation for the stock.

Morgan Stanley wasn’t quite so optimistic about fellow insurer Aviva PLC (LON:AV.) as it maintained its ‘overweight’ rating for the company, but dipped its price target slightly to 538p from 549p.

Small-cap miners were also in favour with brokers on Tuesday.

Shore Capital reiterated its ‘buy’ recommendation for Sirius Minerals PLC (LON:SXX), while Cantor Fitzgerald also maintained its ‘buy’ recommendation and 32p target price for Orosur Mining Inc (LON:OMI).

Elsewhere in the small-caps, biopharmaceutical firm Motif Bio Plc (LON:MTFB) had its ‘buy’ recommendation and 140p target price repeated by broker Northland Capital, while pawnbroker H&T GROUP PLC (LON:HAT) also had its ‘buy’ recommendation maintained by finnCap.
