Citigroup reckons Yahoo! (NASDAQ:YHOO) is now a ‘buy’ rather than ‘neutral’, whilst upgrading its recommendation the investment bank noted a number of near term catalysts.
Key among those catalysts will be the outcome of the group’s auction process.
Citi lifted its target price to US$43 per share, from US$38 (current price US$37.30).
Pacific Crest upped its target for Amazon to US$820 to US$800.
Elsewhere, amid the E3 video game industry showcase event, Barclays has upgraded its view of Activision Blizzard (NASDAQ:ATVI), the company behind the Call of Duty and World of Warcraft franchises.
The bank raised its target to US$42 per share from US$38 (current price: US$38).
Wedbush Securities meanwhile downgraded its price target for Cavium Inc (NASDAQ:CAVM), to US$51 from US$68 (current price: US$48), following news of a deal to acquire QLogic - though the broker retains a ‘outperform’ rating.
Meanwhile, Wedbush also upgraded its target for Whole Foods Market Inc (NASDAQ:WFM) to US$32 from US$29 (current price: US$30.92).
