Ultimate Sports sprints higher after unveiling new chief executive officer

A look at the day's major movers, including Trackwise, Airea and Dev Clever

Ultimate Sports Group PLC (LON:USG) rose 3.0% to 17p after it announced the appointment of Matthew Farnum-Schneider as chief executive officer.

Farrum-Schneider was a managing director and senior adviser to the chief executive officer at Credit Suisse between 2015-2019.

Executive director Geoffrey Simmonds has informed the board of his desire to retire from the board with immediate effect.

10.30am: Trackwise surges after signing collaboration deal with GKN Aerospace

Trackwise Designs PLC (LON: TWD), a leading provider of specialist products using printed circuit technology, surged 4.5% to 150p after signing a collaboration agreement with GKN Aerospace.

The deal covers the industrialisation of the GKN Aerospace Type 8 Ice Protection System.

The agreement will see GKN Aerospace and Trackwise build upon existing development work by advancing the manufacture of Ice Protection Systems to rate production level capability.

9.30am: Airea floored by tougher market conditions

Shares in floor coverings group Airea PLC (LON:AIEA) lost more than fifth of their value at 40p after the company warned of tougher market conditions.

The company said the high levels of market uncertainty within the economy resulted in tougher market conditions during the second quarter, which slowed the group's financial performance.

Sales growth will continue to be challenging given the uncertainty that remains while awaiting the outcome of Brexit negotiations, the company predicted.

Dev Clever Holdings PLC (LON:DEV) pulled out of its tailspin – at least for a while – with a 5.9% rise to 3.6p after the developer of career development and virtual reality careers guidance platforms receiving a cash infusion.

Jarvis Investment Management exercised warrants, converting them into 2.29mln shares at a penny a pop, resulting in Dev Clever trousering £22,900.

More importantly in terms of the share price reaction is that Jarvis no longer holds any more warrants so a potential stock overhang has been removed.
