Power Metal Resources delighted with progress at Molopo Farms in Botswana

Geophysics data will be used to identify targets for future drilling

Power Metal Resources PLC (LON:POW) says ground geophysics work is close to completion at the Molopo Farms nickel-copper complex in Botswana.

The company has an 18.26% shareholding in Kalahari Key, an exploration company with a 100% interest in Molopo, and rights for an additional 40% direct interest through a payment of US$500,000 by end 2020.

Data from the geophysics programme will be used to identify drill targets for the next stage of the exploration programme.

Paul Johnson, an executive director at Power said: "The pace at which the Kalahari Key team are progressing is impressive.

"This important groundwork is designed to initially follow up 11 areas within the 17 conductor targets identified from the helicopter Electromagnetic (EM) Survey and narrow down to a number of high-profile drill targets.

"In this region mineral deposits are under sand cover with no surface expression so the application of high-resolution geophysics is vital in identifying the most attractive drill locations.“
