OptiBiotix Health PLC (LON:OPTI) said it had taken a “significant and exciting step” towards accelerating the growth of its consumer division after signing a deal that will see its CE-marked weight management product distributed online in the UK.
The agreement is with BioEnergiser, a sales and marketing specialist that also has a mail order and direct-to-TV operation as well as home shopping channels.
BioEnergiser will promote and distribute SlimBiome Medical in its home market, though OptiBiotix will also continue to sell the product in its online store.
“This is a significant and exciting step in accelerating the growth of OptiBiotix consumer health division,” said Fred Narbel, managing director of the company’s prebiotics division.
“BioEnergiser's expertise in direct to consumer online sales and marketing will help build brand and consumer awareness of SlimBiome Medical through TV and national newspaper advertising, complementing any potential future retail launch.
“The deal brings further value by providing us with economies of scale and will support revenue growth and profitability of OptiBiotix's prebiotics division going forward."
