Physiomics wins fourth immune-oncology contract for virtual tumour software

The software will enable Wall Street-listed Bicycle Therapeutics to test its drugs on tumours in a virtual setting

Physiomics Plc (LON:PYC) has won a contract to supply its software to Bicycle Therapeutics PLC (Nasdaq:BCYC).

The AIM-listed company’s Virtual Tumour software will be used to simulate how cancerous tumours are affected by Bicycle's therapeutic compounds in an immune-oncology setting.

This is Physiomics’ fourth project in the area of immune-oncology, which it said highlights its “rapidly developing capabilities in an area that is currently receiving significant investor and scientific focus”.

Bicycle, which is based in Cambridge, UK and Boston, USA, is developing a new class of therapeutics based on its proprietary bicyclic peptide product platform, which it calls Bicycles.

Physiomics chief executive Jim Millen said: "We are thrilled to be working with Bicycle Therapeutics, which we believe to be one of the UK's most exciting emerging biotech companies."

Physiomics shares were up 3.5% to 3p on Friday morning.
