Cervantes’ Abbotts Gold Project tenement immediately adjoins to the north and east of Ora's project.
The Government Well prospect is at the northern extremity of the Abbotts greenstone belt
Notably, copper assays of up to 19.5% were returned from rock sampling at Government Well with silver assays up to 275.5 g/t and over 1 g/t gold.
The rock sampling was over a number of small pits which have oxidised base metal material that has been identified as milled breccia. Results include:
• 14.0% copper, 52.1 g/t silver and 1.1 g/t gold;
• 14.0% copper, 62.5 g/t silver and 1.2 g/t gold; and
• 19.5% copper, 275.5 g/t silver and 1.2 g/t gold.
Cervantes’ recent regional soil sampling had highlighted the potential of structures running through the Abbotts Gold Project.
Cervantes executive chairman Collin Vost said: “Abbotts is shaping up nicely as a greenfields project in a high potential area.
“Decades of neglect by explorers have delivered an opportunity to Cervantes for a discovery.”
