AFC Energy PLC (LON:AFC) shares rose on Wednesday as the alkaline fuel cell power company revealed it has signed a manufacturing framework agreement with UK-based Advanced Plastics.
The agreement covers the manufacture and delivery of flow plates for use within AFC's proprietary hydrogen fuel cell system.

Advanced Plastics will be responsible for the procurement of industrial moulding tools for the flow plate manufacture; these tools are expected to be procured under the agreement over the next few weeks.
Once received, the industrial moulding tools will enable AFC Energy to commence the ordering of flow plates for system deployment.
In afternoon trading, shares in AFC Energy were 8.9% higher at 5.20p.
