Thor Mining has tungsten potential of Bonya affirmed by lab tests

Tungsten was recorded at widths of up to 29m near the surface at the White Violet and Samarkand targets

Bonya is adjacent to the Molyhil project in Northern Territory

Thor Mining PLC (LON:THR) says lab tests have affirmed the good tungsten grades from its drilling programme at Bonya in Northern Territory, Australia.

Tungsten was recorded at widths of up to 29m near the surface at the White Violet and Samarkand targets, with copper also present at the latter.

Mick Billing, Thor Mining’s executive chairman, said the near surface tungsten and copper mineralisation occurrences have significant growth potential and future drilling will test the extent of the deposits.

Bonya is adjacent to Thor’s flagship project at Molyhil and can be a material addition to the resources and economics of that project, he added.

"The proposed Molyhil processing facility is designed to extract copper as well as tungsten and molybdenum so any primary copper at Bonya can potentially be extracted at minimal additional cost."

The project is held in a joint venture between Arafura (60%) and Thor (40%) with Thor acting as manager.
