Anson Resources reveals maiden brine resource at Paradox

The resource estimate establishes a foundation to advance the project towards a scoping study.

Anson Resources Ltd (ASX:ASN) has revealed its maiden JORC compliance resource estimate for its Paradox Brine Project in Utah, US.

The resource estimate totals 128.56 million tonnes of brine grading 173 ppm lithium, 414 ppm boron, 3,321 ppm bromine and 166.5 ppm iodine.

This results in an estimate of 118,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate, 304,442 tonnes of boric acid, 426,852 tonnes of bromine and 21,400 tonnes of iodine.

Notably, the resource estimate only considers part of Clastic Zone 31 and there is potential to grow the resource within Clastic Zone 31 as well as Clastic Zones 17, 19, 29 and 33.

Anson recently calculated an increased Exploration Target across the aforementioned four Clastic Zones.

The Exploration Target is for 484-792 million grading 50-50ppm lithium, 50-400ppm boron, 2,500-4,000ppm bromine and 30-100ppm iodine.

Furthermore, as of today, an additional Exploration Target has been calculated for Clastic Zone 31 measuring 30-46 million tonnes of brine grading 150-300 milligrams per litre lithium.

Hydrogeological works are planned

Hydrogeological works including well pumping tests and monitoring of aquifers have been planned.

The well pumping tests are to determine the dynamic hydrogeological properties of the brine aquifer.

Proactive caught up with Anson last month for a project update.
