Argent Minerals Limited (ASX:ARD) has completed drilling at the historical Pine Ridge Gold Mine, part of the junior explorer’s Kempfield Polymetallic Project in central-west New South Wales.
The program went for 812.5 metres, exceeding the planned 780 metres after drill hole extensions totalling 32.5 metres were called for by the supervising geologist.

Drill holes were extended where drill core was observed near planned end-of-hole to have zones of geological interest such as shears, veins and gold mineralisation.
The company has submitted 803.3 metres of core to the lab for assaying.

Historical high-grade gold intersections at Pine Ridge include:
21 metres at 5.6 g/t gold from 50 metres, including 1 metre at 62.9 g/t from 59 metres;
10 metres at 4.1 g/t from 51 metres, including 1 metre at 20.6 g/t from 52 metres;
10 metres at 3.7 g/t from 71 metres, including 1 metre at 11.2 g/t from 76 metres; and
18 metres at 2.4 g/t from 68 metres, including 1 metre at 5.3 g/t from 77 metres.
Kempfield has a JORC-compliant mineral resource of 21.8 million tonnes with 52 million ounces of silvler equivalent contained metal.
Argent has intersected combined zinc-lead grades of up to 17.9% immediately west of the existing mineral resource, as well as numerous high-grade gold results.
Gold assays include a bonanza-grade intersection of 1 metre at 1,065 g/t gold from 97 metres.
The company aims to discover an additional 5 million tonnes at Kempfield with higher-grade lead-zinc, silver, gold and potentially copper.
Exploration work to date has identified the potential for Kempfield to host a mineralisation system much larger than currently known.
