Royal Road Minerals Limited (CVE:RYR) has appointed Liz Wall, who has over two decades' experience assessing social and environmental issues within the mining sector in developing countries, to its board of directors.
Wall began her career with mining titan Rio Tinto (LON:RIO) in both project and corporate roles, focusing on health, environment and community aspects, before moving to the International Finance Corporation (World Bank Group) as a social development and environmental specialist.

An Oxford graduate, Wall originally trained as a mining engineer while a Rhodes Scholarship allowed her to pursue further studies in poverty reduction and environmental management.
She has worked in more than 40 countries and established a successful consulting business, Shared Resources Pty Ltd.
She has held a number of board-appointed roles and is regularly in the position of advising major mining companies on significant investment decisions.

"As well as promoting strategy, Liz will play an active role in ensuring the company advances its innovative initiatives such as the Royal Road Accelerator and its important agreements with Economía Sociales del Común (ECOMUN) in Colombia and the Centro de Entendimiento con la Naturaleza (CEN) in Nicaragua."
Royal Road is on the hunt for copper and gold in central and south America. The region accounts for 17% of the globe's gold production and hosts two of the top three copper producing countries in the world.
