Bridgeline Digital shares soar after global biopharma company renews OrchestraCMS license

The client company, which Bridgeline didn’t name, agreed to continue licensing the CMS platform for three years for $700,000

Bridgeline Digital Inc (NASDAQ:BLIN) stock roared more than 30% higher on Tuesday after the cloud-based software developer said a global biopharmaceutical company will continue using its OrchestraCMS platform.

Shares recently traded at $8.42 apiece, up 36% on heavy volume.

The client company, which Bridgeline didn’t name, agreed to continue licensing the platform for three years for $700,000, according to a statement.

Bridgeline, based in Burlington, Massachusetts, said the client is a publicly traded company that manufactures prescription pharmaceuticals and biologics.

Bridgeline CEO Ari Kahn called the three-year license renewal “a great validation of the strength of OrchestraCMS.” He noted that in the industry such renewals are typically done for only 12 months.

With Bridgeline’s OrchestraCMS Website Channel License, client have global digital access across three regional Salesforce orgs. The license includes an Amazon s3 Webservice Connector and Premier as well as critical 24-7 support.

The unnamed client company uses OrchestraCMS for publishing pharmaceutical guidance, compliance and regulatory information, Bridgeline said.
