Shares grew 1.6% to C$4.55 in Toronto and 1.5% to US$3.40 on OTC markets.
Phunware Inc (NASDAQ:PHUN) is partnering with number cruncher data.world. The mobile app development platform plans to integrate its Multiscreen-as-a-Service and knowledge graph offerings on the data.world information cataloging platform.
Shares rose 4.6% to $8.47.
Weekend Unlimited Inc (CSE:POT) (OTCMKTS:WKULF), a Canadian cannabis company, announced that Chris Backus, a member of the board and a former Royal Canadian Mounted Police officer, has been named interim president and CEO.
The stock was up 12% to C$0.10 on the CSE and 1.6% to US$0.6 on OTC markets.
Staffing 360 Solutions Inc (NASDAQ:STAF), a New York-based group of staffing organizations, reported that first-quarter revenue increased 32% to $73.8 million, which helped the company achieve its first profit ever.
The stock staffed up, climbing 10% to $1.82.

Laggards
Verb Technology Company Inc (NASDAQ:VERB) is partnering up with video marketing outlet Waymark. Waymark plans to integrate Verb’s interactive video tagging system into their video marketing platform, which allows users to quickly create commercial video clips.
Shares dropped 4.1% to $2.33.
Translate Bio Inc (NASDAQ:TBIO) announced a $47.5 million private placement. The clinical-stage messenger RNA therapeutics company is selling around 5.6 million shares of common stock to multiple investors at $8.50 per share.
Shares slipped 0.3% to $9.67.
Auris Medical Holding Ltd (NASDAQ:EARS), a clinical-stage neurotology therapeutics company, lost some ground after skyrocketing nearly 20-fold overnight on news that its board of directors approved a reverse stock split at a ratio of 1-for-20.
The stock tumbled nearly 23% to $4.36.
MGP Ingredients Inc (NASDAQ:MGPI), a supplier of distilled spirits and specialty wheat proteins and starches, reported first quarter revenue of $89.1 million before the bell, missing street expectations of $91.5 million.
Investors poured out, with the stock dropping more than 22% to $68.17.
