ChemioCare USA Inc is adding Roy Waldron to its board of directors, the company announced Monday.
Waldron joins the biotech company's board after recently retiring from Pfizer Inc (NYSE:PFE), where he spent nearly 20 years as senior vice president‚ associate general counsel and chief intellectual property counsel.
He led Pfizer attorneys in securing patents and worked with research and development teams on intellectual property strategy.

“We are pleased to welcome Roy to our Board of Directors,” Chairman and CEO Pedro Lichtinger said. “His experience in developing, executing, and defending Intellectual property strategies at Pfizer will be invaluable as we continue to build our company."
ChemioCare is a privately-held company developing transdermal delivery treatments, or the administering of medicine via patches placed on the skin. It currently has three patches in development for cancer and palliative care and expects to enter Phase 3 pivotal studies later this year.
