RELX PLC (LON:RELX) shares ticked higher on Thursday as the global information analytics provider reaffirmed its full-year guidance and said it expects to report another period of underlying growth in revenue and profits.
In an AGM trading update, the FTSE 100-listed group told investors that key business trends in 2019 had remained "broadly consistent" with 2018 across its operations.

The group said it continues to focus on the organic development of "increasingly sophisticated information-based analytics and decision tools", and also continues to reshape its portfolio, targeting selective acquisitions.
The firm noted that, in the year-to-date, it has completed five acquisitions for a total consideration of £236mln.
RELX said: "We are confident that, by continuing to execute on our strategy, we will deliver another year of underlying growth in revenue and in adjusted operating profit, together with growth in adjusted earnings per share on a constant currency basis.”
The company also revealed that it had completed £250mln worth of its previously announced £600mln share buyback, with the remaining £350mln to be deployed by the end of the year.
In late morning trading, RELX shares were 0.4% higher at 1,737p.
