Bilby says chief executive officer David Ellingham stepping down "to pursue other career opportunities"

The AIM-listed group said that Ellingham will be replaced as its chief executive officer by David Bullen, a former CEO of Anpario PLC, who will join the company on 15 April 2019

Bilby PLC (LON:BILB) has announced that its chief executive officer David Ellingham is stepping down "to pursue other career opportunities".

The AIM-listed housing maintenance group said that Ellingham will be replaced by David Bullen, a former CEO of Anpario PLC (LON:ANP), who will join the company on 15 April 2019 as its new CEO.

The group said Bullen joins Bilby from Boleyn International Ltd, a strategic management consultancy he founded in 2016.

It pointed out that he was CEO of animal health group Anpario between 2011 and 2016 where he oversaw growth in revenue and profits, delivering a four-fold increase in the share price.

Prior to Anpario, Bullen spent eight years at Novartis, where he held several senior positions both in the UK and abroad.

Sangita Shah, Bilby’s chairman: "He brings with him significant experience of managing a listed company and an impressive track record of delivering growth and margin enhancement. We believe he is an excellent fit for Bilby and we look forward to working with him, restoring stakeholder confidence in Bilby and strengthening its market position.”

The group noted that Ellingham has served on its board since its listing in 2015 and has played a key role in the buy-and-build strategy and successfully acquired four strong businesses.

Bilby also announced that as part of its ongoing efforts to meet the highest corporate governance standards, it has commenced a search for an additional non-executive director.
