Expect products in Oregon, Colorado, New Mexico, Kentucky, Tennessee, Vermont, South Carolina, Illinois and Indiana

Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc (NASDAQ:WBA) will sell cannabis-based creams, patches and sprays in roughly 1,500 stores, CNBC reported Wednesday.

The drugstore chain will sell a line of cannabidiol products in Oregon, Colorado, New Mexico, Kentucky, Tennessee, Vermont, South Carolina, Illinois and Indiana. The Deerfield, Illinois-based company did not elaborate on which brands it would carry.

The decision comes on the heels of CVS Health Corp (NYSE:CVS) announcing earlier in March that it would carry CBD-infused topicals in eight states.

Thanks to the 2018 Farm Bill, CBD derived from hemp is now legal at the federal level.

Walgreens stock gained 0.5% Wednesday to close at $62.23.
