The BC-based cannabis company is a multilicensed processor, cultivator and distributor of premium cannabis.
According to the company, the BCDB's initial order included a range of whole flower products from Blissco's collections.
“I have a long history of working with the BCLDB in my previous role as a Managing Partner of JAK’s Wine, Beer and Spirits, a fourth-generation family operated company. I am excited to see that relationship continue as we provide the province with our premium cannabis products,” said CEO Damian Kettlewell. “We are building the foundation for what we anticipate to be a fruitful and long-term partnership. We will continue to innovate and refine our product offerings, while we enter new domestic markets in the coming months.”
The order included a range of strains, including: AC/DC, a CBD dominant, evenly balanced sativa and indica hybrid pre-roll; Green Cush, a THC dominant, sativa hybrid whole flower and pre-roll, and Cold Creek Kush, a THC dominant, indica hybrid whole flower and pre-roll.
BlissCo owns and operates an 18,000 sq/ft facility in Vancouver, with extraction, cultivation and processing rooms. The company is focused on supplying premium cannabis and small-batch reserve whole flower and dried flower pre-rolls to the Canadian and global marketplace.
The company is licensed by Health Canada to cultivate and process cannabis, extract cannabis oil and to sell dried cannabis products. On the horizon is a license to sell cannabis oil, and the company is preparing a line of full spectrum oils, expected to be distributed in 2019.
The company has a growing list of provincial cannabis boards and international distribution partners.
First export to Germany on track
Last week, BlissCo released additional news that it had received an initial good manufacturing practices (GMP) inspection report from the German health authority -- a key milestone in earnings its GMP certification.
The certification will allow the company to obtain permits to complete its first export to the rapidly expanding medical cannabis sector in Germany, via its distribution partner Pharmadrug Production GmbH.
"GMP certification will also open up more market and product opportunities for Blissco, providing us with additional opportunities to enhance shareholder value," said Kettlewell.
