Shanta Gold LTD (LON:SHG) has intersected development ore at the underground Ilunga mine, part of the wider New Luika gold mining complex.
The intersection comes three months ahead of schedule and occurred as predicted by the company’s geological model.

Ore from Ilunga will add a third source of feed to the New Luika processing operation.
Ore from satellite projects currently under development is also expected to add to production in due course.
Shanta produced nearly 82,000 ounces of gold in 2018.
