Computacenter PLC (LON:CCC) has said Peter Ryan will become its non-executive chairman at the conclusion of the company's Annual General Meeting on 16 May 2019, when Greg Lock will retire after serving in the role since July 2008.
The FTSE 250-listed group said Ryan, who joined its board in February 2018 as an independent non-executive director, has been appointed following a thorough selection process which involved consideration of internal and external candidates, with assistance from a search consultancy.

The company pointed out that he has had a successful 37-year international career in technology encompassing all dimensions of the industry including software, services, systems integration, outsourcing and infrastructure.
Commenting on the appointment, Computacenter’s CEO said: “Peter has already made a significant contribution to the work of the Board as a Non-Executive Director, with his excellent knowledge of the environment in which we operate, and I look forward to working with him more closely as we continue to develop and implement our strategy of enabling success".
The group said the search for a new non-executive director is underway and a further announcement will be made in due course.
