Eventbrite Inc (NYSE:EB) fell after the global ticketing and event technology platform delivered a disappointing outlook for the first quarter. The company projected revenue of
$80 million to $84 million. The average forecast of analysts was $91.08 million.
The stock fell 23% to $25 in extended trading.
The Kroger Co's (NYSE:KR) stock went stale after the supermarket operator released 2019 guidance that missed Street expectations. The grocer said it expects fiscal year 2019 net earnings between $2.15 and $2.25 per share, short of $2.28 EPS expectation, per Bloomberg data.
Kroger stock got canned, closing down nearly 10% at 25.61.
H&R Block Inc (NYSE:HRB) posted third-quarter revenue ahead of analyst estimates. The tax-services firm’s year-over-year per-share losses shrank by half thanks to the lower corporate tax rate this year, and its 2019 outlook is in line with expectations, according to a CNBC report.
The share price advanced 2.7% to end the day at $24.16.
Allergan PLC (NYSE:AGN) stock rebounded after losses before the bell following an announcement late Wednesday that studies of a major depressive disorder drug failed to produce a promising outcome. The treatment did not differentiate from placebo, the company said in a statement. Investors were initially wary, but rallied around the stock.

Burlington Stores Inc (NYSE:BURL) stock frayed after the discount retailer announced that fourth-quarter sales didn’t meet analysts' expectations, per TheStreet. Comparable sales were up 1.3% but fell short of the company’s 2% to 3% guidance range.
Shares of the discount retailer were down 11.9% to $147.28.
American Eagle Outfitters Inc (NYSE:AEO) stock was grounded after the apparel company issued guidance late Wednesday that came up short of Wall Street expectations. The Pittsburgh-based retailer projected first-quarter earnings per share of $0.19 to $0.21, compared with the average analyst estimate of $0.24.
The stock slipped 0.4% to $21.24.
General Motors Company (NYSE:GM) closed an Ohio assembly plant on Wednesday, eliminating 1,700 hourly positions. The plant is one of five In North America the automaker plans to shut down by early next year, according to an AP report.
The automaker's stock fell 0.7% to close at $38.04.
