Ioneer makes steady progress towards development of Rhyolite Ridge Lithium-Boron Project

ioneer is aiming to complete the DFS in Q3 2019 with initial production targeted for 2021.

ioneer Ltd (ASX:INR) is continuing to make steady progress at its Rhyolite Ridge Lithium-Boron Project in Nevada, USA.

The company is currently progressing various activities including:

• Strategic partner discussions;

• Engineering and design firm Fluor Corporation (NYSE:FLR) undertaking DFS (definite feasibility study);

• Engineering and trade-off studies advancing; and

• Golder Associates Inc progressing on updating mineral resource and ore reserve.

Indicative timeline for Rhyolite Ridge

Last month, ioneer revealed further encouraging drilling results from the Rhyolite Ridge project.

A 45-hole (9,000 metre) drilling program completed in late January was designed to increase the confidence of the ore reserve by infill drilling of the planned starter pit and to test for southern extensions of mineralisation outside of the current ore reserve.

Results received for the first 17 holes are highly encouraging with lithium and boron grades consistently higher than the ore reserve grades.

Further results from the 45-hole program are expected over the coming two months.
