Peel Mining Ltd (ASX:PEX) has received high-grade infill results from its Southern Nights prospect within the wider Wagga Tank project south of Cobar in western New South Wales.
Assays received in February represent additional close-spaced (20 x 20 metres) infill drilling of the Southern Nights Central Zone, which was designed for metallurgical and mineral resource estimate purposes.
The best result was 16.95 metres at 43.25% zinc, 14.66% lead, 1% copper, 356 g/t silver and 3.11 g/t gold from 179.15 metres.

One hole crosscuts an historical hole that had been drilled down the dip of the mineralisation.
Best results were from the new hole were 33 metres at 11.71% zinc, 5.65% lead, 0.19% copper, 147 g/t silver and 1.25 g/t gold from 172 metres, including 10.8 metres at 27.49% zinc, 14.54% lead, 0.5% copper, 409 g/t silver and 3.16 g/t gold.
Another hole was drilled as a twin of drill hole WTRCDD150 in order to provide material for further metallurgical test work and mineral resource estimate purposes and it returned the 16.95-metre intersection.

This intersection showed repeatability to a previous intersection from WTRCDD150 of 18.2 metres at 40.3% zinc, 15.21% lead, 0.97% copper, 356 g/t silver and 2.77 g/t gold from 182 metres.
Results continue to confirm the company's understanding of the high-grade mineralisation, which is steep westerly dipping, covering up to about 180 metres strike and defined from 120 to 350 metres below surface.
The mineralisation remains open down-dip and plunge and has been directed on the thickest and highest-grade zone of mineralisation, which resides within the Wagga Tank Mudstone.
Geological logging and portable XRF analyses indicate substantial intersections in three holes continue to delineate a body of high-grade mineralisation.
Additional mineralisation is also present within the volcanoclastics of the Vivigani Formation with the continuity and tenor of these zones still being assessed.
A maiden JORC resource is being prepared and the company expects it to be ready by June.
