Deep Yellow begins final leg of 12,000-metre drilling program at Reptile Uranium Project

Drilling is aimed at increasing the inferred resource of the calcrete type uranium mineralisation towards the target of 100-140 million pounds.

Deep Yellow Limited (ASX:DYL) has started the final 3,000-metre leg of a 12,000-metre reverse circulation (RC) drilling program aimed at increasing resources at the Reptile Uranium Project in Namibia.

The final leg, which started on March 4, has a two-fold focus:

Follow-up resource drilling to test for resource upgrade of other specific uranium-rich tributaries identified in the area east of Tumas 1 deposit; and

Preliminary testing of a high-priority palaeochannel zone at Tumas Central west of Tumas 3 deposit.

Uranium-rich seven channel tributary system

Positive results returned from drilling last year confirmed the high prospectivity of the palaeochannels as evidenced by the discovery of the uranium-rich seven channel tributary system identified in the Tumas 1 East area.

Some of these channels that were followed up with resource drilling in November 2018 are the basis of a new resource estimate which is being evaluated and is expected to be delivered later this month.

Drill line spacing on these priority target zones will be 100 to 200 metres drilled on 100-metre intervals and drilling is expected to be at an average depth of 20 to 30 metres.

This program is expected to be completed in mid-April 2019.
