Ryanair and Wizz Air both report passenger growth of around 13% in February

For Ryanair, total passenger numbers in the month rose 13% year-on-year to 9.6mln with a load factor of 96%

Ryanair Holdings PLC (LON:RYA) and Wizz Air Holdings PLC (LON:WIZZ) have both reported passenger growth of around 13% for the month of February.

For Ryanair, total passenger numbers in the month rose 13% year-on-year (YOY) to 9.6mln with a load factor of 96%.

The number for the Ryanair airline alone rose 9% to 9.3mln with a 96% load factor, while the company’s Austrian-based Laudamotion airline reported passenger numbers of 0.3mln with a load factor of 94%.

Meanwhile, Wizz Air reported that its passenger numbers had risen 12.9% YOY to 2.4mln, while its load factor increased 3 percentage points to 94.2%.

For the rolling 12 months, Ryanair’s passenger numbers were up 9% at 141.2mln, while Wizz Air’s numbers were up 17.8% at 34.3mln.

In early trading Monday, Ryanair shares were down 0.1% at €12.7 while Wizz Air shares were up 0.4% at 3,051p.
