Goldplat plc (LON:GDP) turned in an operating loss for the six months to December 2018 of £653,000 against an operating profit of £1.6mln for the corresponding period a year earlier.
The loss came as gold production dipped from 20,246 ounces in the 2017 half year to just under 15,800 ounces this time around.

The Ghana operation experienced difficulty in sourcing high-quality material to process during the first quarter of the financial year but has since turned in a better performance in the second quarter. However, the losses from the first quarter could not be recovered.
