Village Farms International Inc (OTCMKTS:VFFIF) (TSE:VFF) shares spiked on Friday, on the back of news that the Delta, BC, company was approved for listing on the Nasdaq Capital Market exchange.
Shares jumped 17.9% to US$8.10 in New York on the OTC exchange and 17.3% to C$10.73 in Toronto.

The company said it will be listing under the trading symbol "VFF" and the initial trading date is still be determined and will be announced.
Village Farms' common shares will continue to be listed and trade on the Toronto Stock Exchange, also under the symbol VFF.
The hydroponic grower of tomatoes, peppers and cucumbers announced last that it will begin converting its greenhouse facilities to grow cannabis.
