Synchronica (LON:SYNC, TSX-V:SYN) said that Bright Telecom India has launched a new range of handsets, powered by its mobile messaging infrastructure software Mobile Gateway, to deliver push mail, instant messaging and social networking.
The OGO 0-77 Konnect (On-the-GO) and 0-78 Touch models are targeting India's young professionals and consumers.
Both devices are based on the popular MediaTek platform, optimized for Mobile Gateway to provide messaging services directly to the native clients found on the device.
Synchronica has a strong and growing foothold in India with its affordable, white labelled mobile messaging solution. In addition to Bright Telecom, the company has agreements in place with a further two device manufacturers targeting the Indian market and has live deployments with two large Indian mobile operators via its 2010 acquisition of email-to-SMS vendor iseemedia.

Only yesterday, the company unveiled a new and upgraded version of its flagship Mobile Gateway software.
The company highlights that Mobile Gateway 6 introduces unified messaging capabilities, a ‘presence-enabled’ address book and ‘ultra-lightweight’ client software.
Mobile Gateway continues to support literally any mobile phone in use today, providing push Email, synchronization, instant messaging and social networking even on low-end devices, it said.
According to Synchronica the new version’s functionality adds an advanced user experience for both feature phones and Smartphones.
