Egdon Resources lodges Wressle appeal

Union Jack Oil PLC (LON:UJO) said Egdon Resources Plc (LON:EGR), as operator of the Wressle oil discovery, lodged an appeal against the refusal of planning permission for the drill site in North Lincolnshire.

The appeal will be dealt with by the Planning Inspectorate.

Union Jack’s David Bramhill said: "We strongly believe, as does the operator, the enhanced proposals for the development of Wressle address, comprehensively, the reasons highlighted by the Planning Inspector in his dismissal of the initial appeals in January 2018.”

His company owns 27.5% of licences 180 and 182 containing Wressle, which flowed at 710 barrels a day of oil and gas and is estimated to be hosting up to 2.15mln stock tank barrels of crude.
