Nova Minerals Ltd (ASX:NVA) has received encouraging gold results from the Officer Hill joint venture project with Newmont Mining Corp (NYSE:NEM) in the Northern Territory.
Assays were received from three diamond drill holes with a best result of 1-metre at 8.31 g/t gold from 134 metres.
Strong results
Other key results were 7 metres at 0.48 g/t from 528 metres, including 1-metre at 2.61 g/t; and 1 metre at 1.25 g/t from 134 metres.
Mineralisation within the holes consisted of quartz-chlorite-pyrite veins, which are present within variable bedded sandstone and laminated siltstones.
Exploration designed to “map out larger footprint“
Nova Minerals managing director Avi Kimelman said: “We are encouraged by the latest results from the diamond drilling program on the Officer Hill Gold Project.
“The exploration effort was designed to test a wide area and map out the larger footprint of the system.
“Follow-up drilling is aimed at vectoring towards economic mineralisation.
“The continued results provide encouragement to Nova and is a testament to Newmont’s ability to effectively and efficiently evaluate the tenement.”
