Great Bear Resources starts drilling again at Ontario project; posts 3D model

The group also published a 3D model of gold mineralization drilled to-date at the 100% owned property

Great Bear Resources Ltd (CVE:GBR) (OTCMKTS:GTBDF) revealed its 30,000-metre, 150-hole drill program had started again at its flagship Dixie project in Ontario after the holiday break.

The group also published a 3D model of gold mineralization drilled to-date at the 100% owned property.

A downloadable video of the model can be seen at www.greatbearresources.ca/presentation.

Great Bear said it will soon mobilize a second drill rig to more rapidly drill the known mineralized zones and simultaneously test new gold targets.

Results will continue to be released in batches as received.

"Great Bear is completing a large number of drill holes throughout 2019 and 2020, totaling at least 30,000 metres," said Chris Taylor, the president and CEO of Great Bear.

"The company is fully funded for this work and anticipates a very active sequence of news flow.

"We are providing a video of our current geological model due to high investor demand, and so that shareholders may more easily monitor our progress as we continue to explore the multiple gold zones at our flagship Dixie project.

"We would also like to invite any interested shareholders and potential investors to listen to myself and our Director and Vice President of Exploration, Mr. Bob Singh provide a live webinar detailing our results to-date on Thursday January 17th."

The 3D model represents an around 12 square kilometer area of the around 100 sq km Dixie property, from surface to 1 kilometer depth, centred on the area of most drilling.

It includes mineralization models for the DL and DHZ/DSL zones; interpreted geological units from geological and geochemical data including 12,008 litho-geochemical samples, 2,998 structural measurements, and 20,898 gold analysis.

It also has interpreted D2 fold axes which are related to mineralization.

Prolific mining district

The Dixie property lies around 15 minutes' drive along Highway 105 from downtown Red Lake, Ontario.

The famous and prolific Red Lake mining district in Canada has produced over 30 million ounces of gold.

It benefits from major active mining operations including the Red Lake Gold Mine of Goldcorp Inc, plus modern infrastructure and a skilled workforce.
