SCISYS wins €5mln space contract

Galileo is Europe's global navigation satellite system

SCISYS Group PLC (LON:SSY;) the supplier of bespoke software systems, has been awarded a contract by Spanish aerospace and defence firm GMV.

The contract, valued at €5mln, is for the continuation and further enhancement of three elements in the Galileo Ground Control Segment (GCS).

Galileo is Europe's global navigation satellite system, providing a highly accurate, guaranteed global positioning service under civilian control. GMV is the prime contractor for the GCS to the European Space Agency.

SCISYS said the contract win underlines its position as an expert software supplier to Galileo and reinforces its reputation in the European space industry.

Shares in SCISYS were up 5p at 155.5p.
