Buds & Duds: Terra Tech shares recover while Tilray shares take a hit

Cannabis-focused agriculture company Terra Tech Corp shares slipped earlier in the week after Golden Leaf Holdings announced that it was no longer interested in acquiring the company

Cannabis stocks were a mixed bag Wednesday, but there were a few budding stocks.

Terra Tech Corp (OTCQX:TRTC) shares recovered after taking a hit Tuesday when Golden Leaf Holdings Ltd (CSE:GLH) (OTCQB:GLDFF) announced that it was no longer interested in acquiring the cannabis-focused agriculture company. Shares jumped more than 19% to US$0.66.

Shares of Origin House (CSE:OH) (OTCQB:ORHOF), formerly known as CannaRoyalty Corp, saw a double digit jump earlier in the day, up less than 1% to C$6.21 by the afternoon. The Ontario-based cannabis company recently completed its early warrant conversion, generating a total of C$12.5 million.

Isodiol International Inc (OTCQB:ISOLF) (CSE:ISOL) shares rose more than 5% to US$1.19. The Vancouver-based company develops hemp-based consumer markets for distribution in Canada, Latin America, Asia, and Europe.

Shares of Auxly Cannabis Group Inc (OTCQB:CBWTF) were up more than 6% to US$0.55. The asset management company provides funding for cannabis production.

Duds

Aphria Inc (CVE:APHA) (NYSE:APHA) was a top decliner with shares falling nearly 8% to US$5.40. The company announced Tuesday it was building on its previous agreement with Rapid Dose Therapeutics Inc (CSE:DOSE) to bring RDT’s QuickStrip delivery technology to the German cannabis market.

iAnthus Capital Holdings Inc (CSE:IAN) (OTCQB:ITHUF) shares dipped more than 4% to US$4.02. The New York-based company opened its first dispensary in Florida under its GrowHealthy brand.

Shares of Tilray Inc (NASDAQ:TLRY) slipped more than 6% to US$71.54. The cannabis company announced Tuesday it had inked a supply and distribution agreement for medical marijuana with Sandoz, a division of Swiss pharmaceutical giant Novartis AG.

Shares of industry heavyweight Aurora Cannabis Inc (NYSE:ACB) (TSX:ACB) were down around 4% to US$5.28.

Green Thumb Industries Inc (CSE:GTII) (OTCQX:GTBIF) shares slipped more than 2% to US$9.03. The company was recently awarded one of six vertically integrated license by the New Jersey Department of Health, granting the cannabis company cultivation, processing and retail rights.

The North American Marijuana Index was down more than 2% to $212.41.
