London Stock Exchange increases stake in LCH Group again

The London Stock Exchange operator has increased its stake in LCH for the second time in two months after the clearing house drove growth in its third quarter

The London Stock Exchange Group Plc (LON:LSE) on Friday said it has upped its total holding in clearing house LCH Group Holdings by a further 15%.

The British stock exchange paid €424.5mln to take its holding in LCH to 83%.

The London Stock Exchange operator increased its stake in LCE in October after saying the clearing house had been a key driver of growth in its third quarter.

LCH delivered a 5% increase in revenue to £120mln in the third quarter, boosted by strong growth in over-the-counter clearing.

Shares in LSE were flat at 4,028.0p in early afternoon trade.
