NMC Health repeats recently-raised full-year guidance

Back in October, the private healthcare operator raised its forecasts for 2018 and 2019 on the back of a solid second half, the guidance it repeated today

NMC Health plc (LON:NMC) shares ticked higher on Monday after the Middle East focused private healthcare operator repeated its upgraded full-year guidance for this year and next.

Back in October, NMC lifted its annual earnings and sales forecasts following a strong second-half showing.

The FTSE 100 group repeated its expectations for 24% year-on-year revenue growth, while it remains confident in delivering a 36% rise in underlying earnings (EBITDA) to US$480mln.

As for 2019, NMC still expects revenue to grow by between 22-24%, while EBITDA is still seen rising another 18-20%.

“Given the combination of NMC's strategy, supportive underlying industry dynamics and continued positive operational developments, management remains comfortable with the financial guidance it provided for 2018 and 2019 at its recent Capital Markets Day,” read Monday’s trading update.

“Of particular note is the continued rollout of insurance coverage in NMC's core markets, including the completion of the mandatory insurance program last year in Dubai.”

In the statement, NMC also said it won a new contract to manage a hospital in Seychelles, while it has also bagged a number of other smaller contracts, including one which will see it manage the medical clinic in Abu Dhabi’s Louvre Museum.

On top of the revised guidance and new contract wins, NMC told investors it had revised its key performance indicators (KPIs) for management to bring them more in line with shareholders.

Shares rose 1% to 3,194p in early deals on Monday.
