Zinc Media names Mark Browning as its new CEO

Browning will replace David Galan, who is stepping down from the role after nine months

Browning joins Zinc from television producer ITN Productions

Zinc Media Group PLC (LON:ZIN) said on Friday it had appointed Mark Browning as its new chief executive officer, from the first half of 2019.

Browning will replace David Galan, who is stepping down from the role after nine months and three years in the company.

The TV and content producer said Browning would work alongside Galan to ensure an orderly transition.

Browning joins from television producer ITN Productions, where he was group managing director for eight years since 2010.

"We are delighted to welcome Mark as the new CEO of the company. We consider Mark to be one of the industry's leading operators who has a proven track record of achieving significant growth in revenues and profitability in the factual TV genre, and we believe will be a perfect strategic fit to cement and grow Zinc Media's ambitions in the UK and international TV markets," Zinc’s chairman Peter Bertram said in a statement.

Shares in Zinc Media were up 1.6% up at 0.38p in mid-afternoon trade.
