IQ-AI Limited’s (LON:IQAI) subsidiary, Imaging Biometrics (IB), has appointed a South Korean distributor for its diagnostic imaging products as the firm received ISO certification for its medical devices and quality management systems.
The AIM-listed investment firm said that IB’s distributor would sell its full range of imaging products relating to brain tumour detection after presentations at several South Korean hospitals generated “significant potential sales interest”.

The appointment followed news earlier this month that IQAI had secured the first commercial sale of its StoneChecker kidney stone medical imaging software with a hospital in the country.
David Smith, chief executive of IB, said that the appointment of the distributor marked the start of a “concerted effort” to develop global markets for the firm’s products, building on its successes in the US.
IQAI added that IB had also received ISO 13485:2016 certification for medical device and quality management systems, a regulatory requirement for the industry.
ISO13485:2016 is an internationally recognised quality standard supporting the design, development, manufacture, and distribution of medical devices.
