Meteoric Resources to drill high priority Joyce Project

Pre-drilling exploration at Joyce shows highly prospective sulphide targets.

Meteoric Resources Ltd (ASX:MEI) is scheduled to commence drilling at the Joyce Copper-Cobalt-Gold Project in Western Ontario, Canada.

Joyce is Meteoric’s highest priority target based on thick sequences of undrilled massive and disseminated sulphides exposed at surface.

An initial 8-hole diamond drill program for 500 metres is to commence at Joyce imminently.

Meteoric’s managing director Dr Andrew Tunks said: “Over recent months we have completed regional project reviews and concluded Joyce to be our most prospective target across our Canadian cobalt portfolio, driven largely by Tony Cormack’s mapping of significant zones of massive sulphide exposed at surface and their close correlation the major EM anomalies.

“Incredibly these targets have never been drilled.

“The Joyce drill target generation program is now complete and we plan to commence drilling as soon as final government approvals arrive.

“Effectively we will be drilling at shallow EM targets that sit immediately below massive and disseminated sulphide mineralisation mapped at surface.

“Although the initial plan is to test the western end of the system for only 500 metres of drilling, we will continually evaluate our success during the program and as such, elect to extend the program further.”

Outcropping massive sulphides coincide with electromagnetics

Recently modelled zones of high electromagnetic (EM) conductivity are coincident with outcropping massive sulphide mineralisation and mineralised rock chips.

Based on these observations, Joyce is the highest priority target.
