Ten years ago, Bitcoin creator Satoshi Nakamoto published a paper online about peer-to-peer virtual currency, as per a Bloomberg report.
The digital asset has its fair share of naysayers from former Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellet to JPMorgan Chase & Co (NYSE:JPM) CEO Jamie Dimon.
It’s been a volatile year for Bitcoin, but today remains a day of celebration for crypto enthusiasts.
In other crypto news, exchange Coinbase is reportedly hiring staff to build a new mobile app for its professional trading platform.
Sources told The Block that while the app is a priority for Coinbase, it didn’t have enough mobile developers to work on the project.
The exchange is looking for an iOS Engineer and Android engineer to help build the new app.
Coinbase already has a mobile app for its consumer brokerage.

Director Francis Ford Coppola is the man behind The Godfather trilogy, The Outsiders and now cannabis as well.
The acclaimed director debuted his line of cannabis at Thursday Infused, a private cannabis dining club series, as per a CannabisNow report.

The “Grower’s Series” packs feature three different 1 gram portions of cannabis in a sampler pack, along with a bowl and matches, packed into a steel wine bottle.
Coppola’s line of cannabis products are expected to be available for the holiday season.

The brand has created a limited edition diamond-encrusted vaping device, which retails for US$100,000, according to a Leafly report.
Designed by jeweler Gerard Alexander, the vape feature three grams of solid white gold and 3,000 black, white and grey diamonds, all set into four prongs by hand.
A regular stainless steel Double Barrel vape retails for about US$100, available at MedMen Enterprises Inc (CSE:MMEN,OTCQX:MMNFF) locations in California and Barbary Coast stores.
