US Oil and Gas PLC is attempting to clear volcanic debris from its Eblana-3 well in Nevada to establish a sustained oil flow. In August, US Oil and Gas said hydrocarbon had flowed to surface from the well but today added that subsequent testing failed to sustain this consistently.

Scotgold Resources Limited (LON:SGZ) said that it was notified on 25 October 2018 that Nathaniel le Roux, its non-executive chairman acquired a further 50,000 ordinary shares in the company at a price of 27.5p each on 23 October 2018. Following the purchase, Scotgold said, le Roux will have a beneficial interest in 22,468,223 ordinary shares, representing approximately 49.23% of the ordinary share capital, up from 49.12% previously.
