Silver City Minerals Ltd (ASX:SCI) is awaiting assays from two diamond holes completed at the Copper Blow project near Broken Hill in far west New South Wales.
The company has already confirmed the presence of a large system of iron oxide copper-gold (IOCG) style from this drilling.
One of the holes in the main Copper Blow shear zone intersected 70 metres of magnetite-quartz-sulphide rock from 367 metres.
Another hole at the Southern Anomaly intersected extensive sulphide with a total of 230 metres of disseminated and veinlet sulphide.
The company has planned further extensive soil and/or geochemical surveys over the anomalies at Copper Blow.
Razorback West
During the quarter new gravity data was acquired and evaluated with respect to all historic geochemistry and drilling at Razorback West in Broken Hill.
Silver City has identified several new targets based on coincident lead geochemistry, induced polarisation (IP) chargeability and gravity.
These targets coincide with a prospective part of the rock sequence interpreted to be the Hores Gneiss.
Regional copper-gold-cobalt sampling
Silver City is in the process of conducting rock chip geochemical surveys within its tenements throughout the Broken Hill district.
Recent results featured peak grades of 10.4% copper and 0.15% cobalt.

The new exploration results support previous sample results and indicate widespread copper and cobalt across the company’s tenements.
Silver City anticipates a more detailed program of evaluation of each of the prospects identified.
This will include a re-assessment of previous work (if any), more detailed rock and soil sampling, geological mapping and ground geophysics.
Yalcowinna Creek
The company has identified numerous copper-cobalt prospects within the Yalcowinna tenement to the northeast of Broken Hill.
Silver City intends to pursue these with targeted exploration in the coming months.
