St George Mining Ltd (ASX:SGQ) has intersected sulphide mineralisation in hole MAD126 from 177.5 metres depth at the Investigators Prospect within the Mt Alexander Project in Western Australia.
The 14.37-metre sulphide intersection included 5.25 metres of massive sulphides with preliminary XRF readings as high as 37% nickel.
The 5.25-metre massive sulphide interval averaged XRF readings of 8.8% nickel and 4.5% copper.
The drill core will be sent to the lab for official assays which remain pending.

St George’s chairman John Prineas said: “The intersection in MAD126 is shaping up as our best ever at the Investigators Prospect.
“This is a particularly exciting intercept as there are strong conductors located up-dip and down plunge of the massive sulphides identified by MAD126, giving us confidence that drilling will intersect more massive sulphides in what we believe may be a significant channelised flow.
”Our drilling is continuing to scope out the scale of the discovery at Mt Alexander with MAD126 another outstanding result that has extended the footprint of high-grade mineralisation.”
Drilling of conductor targets continues
Drilling of MAD127, to test for an extension of the MAD126 massive sulphide mineralisation nearby is underway.
Downhole electromagnetic (DHEM) surveys are scheduled for multiple completed drill holes once MAD127 is completed.
Notably, strong electromagnetic (EM) conductors located updip and down plunge from MAD126 support potential for significant continuity of high-grade mineralisation.
