Driver monitoring technology firm Seeing Machines Limited (LON:SEE) saw its shares gain on Tuesday following news it has appointed high tech veteran Ryan Murphy as its chief operating officer.
Murphy will oversee a number of areas within the company to help drive growth and achieve consistency in support services to increase efficiencies and improve customer experience.

Murphy has more than 17 years experience in adding value for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) organisations operating in the defence, government, science and technology and global enterprise markets, Seeing Machines said.
He spent eight years with global defence supplier, Thales Australia, where he held a range of roles including general manager and portfolio lead for the Cyber Security division as well as programme director for several key Australian defence infrastructure projects.
Most recently, he was the chief executive officer (CEO) at a global oil and gas geoscience firm where he was responsible for the commercialisation of complex scientific products and the restructuring of its operations.
“He has a proven track record with an impressive career in complex markets, delivering high tech solutions and managing large workforces. His appointment further reinforces the calibre of our management team,” said Ken Kroeger, the CEO of Seeing Machines.
In early afternoon trading, Seeing Machines' shares were 2.2% higher at 6.90p.
