Domino's Pizza Group names new CFO following trial period

Bauernfeind starts work immediately, is "a perfect match " for the chain's "fast-moving culture"

Domino's Pizza Group PLC (LON:DPZ) on Wednesday named David Bauernfeind as chief financial officer following a consultancy period.

Bauernfeind previously served as CFO at Connect Group and at technology services provider Xchanging. He will start in his position at the FTSE 250-listed with immediate effect.

Bauernfeind, who completed a two-month trial period at Domino's, succeeds Rachel Osborne, who left the pizza chain in June.

David Wild, Domino's Chief Executive Officer, said: "I am delighted David is joining Domino's at an exciting time for our business, with the prospect of further domestic and international growth on the horizon.

The company in August had cautioned on the UK’s trading environment and said like-for-like sales in the second quarter came in lower than the first despite a boost from the World Cup.

Bauernfeind “has considerable experience at this level, with growing and successful listed businesses like ours, which we believe makes him a perfect match for the fast-moving culture of Domino's,” said Wild.
