St George Mining Ltd (ASX:SGQ) has identified strong off-hole conductors, or massive sulphide targets, at its Investigators prospect within the Mt Alexander Project in Western Australia.
The downhole electromagnetic (DHEM) surveys were carried out in a number of recently completed drill holes to identify the new targets.
Drilling of the new conductor targets is scheduled to commence later this week, while additional DHEM survesy in other drilled holes continues.

St George’s executive chairman John Prineas said: “The DHEM surveys at Investigators are lighting up powerful conductors that are excellent targets for locating additional high-grade massive nickel-copper sulphide mineralisation.
“Drill holes MAD116, MAD118 and MAD120b were completed to test various positions along conductor MAD111:X1 at the Investigators Prospect, which was modelled with a strike extent of 80m and conductivity of 140,000 Siemens.
“Each of these holes intersected ultramafic rocks and nickel sulphides but not the kind of massive sulphides that could explain the strong EM conductor MAD111:X1.
Presence of multiple conductors suggest large system
“The new DHEM data has provided a breakthrough with modelling of the data indicating three strong conductors proximal to MAD116 and MAD118, and a large, strong conductor dipping to the west of MAD120b.
“The presence of multiple conductors suggests a large mineral system with potential to deliver a very significant increase in the down plunge strike of high-grade mineralisation on the MAD111 section.
“Drilling of these new targets will commence immediately after completion of the current hole MAD122, which is being completed approximately 260m to the west of these new conductors.”
